Thank you readers and visitors

October 27, 2007 Dipankar Maibam 1 comment

Few months back my blog http://dipankar.wordpress.com had Google PageRank of 1. However, after few days that information on PageRank was gone. Until now, this blog had no information on the Google PageRank. However, today I found that this blog now has Google PageRank of 2. I believe, it was due to the visitors who visit this blog. This blog has no back links neither do I conform to any use of keywords. Yes, the contents are unique and that’s for sure.

However, without visitors visiting this blog, I believe it would not have been possible for this blog to achieve this milestone. Thank you Visitors and Readers.

I am including an image of what I saw today morning.

What boys look in girls

October 26, 2007 Dipankar Maibam Leave a comment

Right from our childhood we mingle with opposite sex. This mingling gives us a notion on how the opposite sex should be. The definition of opposite sex goes on changing from time to time. During childhood you might not like the girl who used to cry at every instance, however, now that you are mature, you may like that kind of girl.

Yes, a guy wishes to see some of his motherly stuff in the girl he hopes to be his own. It has nothing to do with mama’s boy image rather it has to do with the showering of love he got from mom. He likes the way mom cared him during his illness and stood by his side when everyone else in the world was objecting to his certain decision. Mom is someone who would give him the support he needs at any point of time. So, what’s wrong if a guy looks for a motherly figure in a girl?

Apart from personality trait of a girl that a guy wishes to see in her as of his mom, there are no other significant traits which he wishes to see. Looks and vibes a girl carries may be derived from the girls that one may meet in any place. The definition of a girl goes on for a sea change from childhood to adulthood.

Thoughtless Writing

October 23, 2007 Dipankar Maibam Leave a comment

I had nothing in mind to post something today. So, I came up with this idea that I will post anything that comes to my mind within five minutes. The following is what I came up within five minutes of thoughtless writing. After I have written it, I didn’t give it a look yet thought of publishing it at WordPress.

“The thought that has matured brings life back to normal for an individual. Regardless of what one wishes to do in life, nothing comes concrete to the mind. There was a time when we human used to think alike and talk alike, a time which will never repeat. From dust to dawn no body cared what future holds and nobody gave a goddamn thought that it is life they are living after all.

With sea of sorrow and pain in heart, this young girl came to the world where nobody ever has arrived; a world that sees nobody and a world that cares for nobody. The girl was transfixed by the sudden attention she got from the world that was not her own.

It was only a few days back that she used to sleep in the burrows of concrete sewage pipes. And today the world is running after her for the very things she ever hated; FAME. It was not her idea to get famous. However, her immediate want for money gave her the fame and fortune.

Moving back from the time that nobody cares to see, the girl was thinking about the past she had and the future she reckons. Her wish was just to be the young girl she used to be, carefree and without any thought for tomorrow.”

It’s all about mind

October 22, 2007 Dipankar Maibam Leave a comment

While I was returning from an weekend shopping spree yesterday in an auto rickshaw, I was just amused at how human behavior is. In the middle of the road, there stood an elderly couple crossing the road. The road was busy after Dusheera celebrations and the elderly couple were in the middle of the road transfixed by the sheer number of vehicles approaching them. They were clinging on to each other, then all of a sudden, the elderly man just ran towards the road divider leaving the elderly woman in between the road. However, later when all the vehicles slowed down, the woman was able to reach the road divider.

I am amused at how the human mind is. If there were a war between the country you live and another, the first thing we will wish is that the war doesn’t reach our city. If by chance, it reaches city we all will wish that the war ends before it reaches our locality. However, when it reaches our locality, we will wish to see that our family does not suffer. And if something is coming to our door, we would be the first ones to face the sufferings. This is because we love our family more than self.

The above depicted stories are different, however both these stories tell the tale of human behaviour or mind. I don’t know what had happened in the old man’s mind in the first story that he left his wife in the middle of the road. May be he was just reacting to his mind’s instinct that “Me comes first, no one else.” However, in case of the second story someone will have ample time to think about what to do and what not to.

(While some may opine that one will leave the city by the time, the war reaches his/her city, the above situation is just a postulation nothing more than that.)

Cellphone on your Wrist

October 20, 2007 Dipankar Maibam 4 comments

This morning, while browsing through the internet, I came across this marvelous looking mobile phone. It is a cell phone to be worn on wrist. It’s Hyundai W100 wrist phone. It boards a touch screen and has Bluetooth support for receiving calls. While its messaging features not released yet by the manufacturer, this small gadget will certainly spice up your life. Information on its likely cost and its release date by Hyundai is not available.

The choice between Gizmo and Wheeler

October 20, 2007 Dipankar Maibam Leave a comment

Had been waiting for Diwali offers since past few weeks. Only today, when I went through the morning newspaper, I found eye catching deals. Thinking of picking up a handycam during this festive season. It was a month or two back only I had bought a Digital camera. Now that I am bored with the camera, I think I need to pick up the handycam.

I believe my tryst with gizmo will never end, for I wish to pick up something or the other every time I visit an electronic store. Last month, I was thinking of saving some to buy me a decent four-wheeler before next summer. However, I don’t believe I will have the privilege to buy the four-wheeler as these days I am too much engrossed in electronic gizmo.

Yes, I may buy the wheeler with EMI’s but I have this damn goddamn attitude that, I should stay away from loans. Saving a huge amount for buying my piece of car and that too in hard cash will be real hard for me. So, for the time being I will settle with my like of gizmos and will forgo the wish to buy a wheeler.

New Spacecraft Design: An Idea

October 19, 2007 Dipankar Maibam 1 comment

I suppose this idea had never been thought by spacecraft designers of NASA and European Space Agency. What I believe is that the most stable shape in the entire universe is spherical shape. However, as the spherical shape is almost unimaginable to be navigated the next best shape which may be navigated is the spherical shape. I am drawing my idea from a particular cracker particularly used by children in India during diwali (festival of lights).

Thank You Google

October 18, 2007 Dipankar Maibam Leave a comment

Until yesterday, I found my blog http://dipankar.wordpress.com on the second page of the google search list using “dipankar” as keyword. I don’t know how but today I found this page on the first page of the search engine using the same term. With thousands of Bengalis having this name, I thought it was really impossible to get into the first page of google. I had even thought of putting my name as keyword. However, I did not do it and without any keyword with that term this blog has certainly got into the sphere where once I wished to see. Thank You Google, thank you for what you have done for the blog.

I do not mind my blog sitting in the 10th number of the first page.  However, I will try hard to keep it in the first page of the google san any illegal means.

The following image shows the search result.

October 18, 2007 Dipankar Maibam 2 comments

I don’t know whether what I do with online lottery scam mails are good or not, but write back to the mailer with some inappropriate information on me. The following is what one of those mails contained.

and this is what I wrote back to the mail address.

I do not know whether I did was good or bad. Please do send me your comments. I feel that giving reply in that way will at least make them aware that he/she cannot go on doing scams every now and then.

Little Hearts Good Day Treat

October 18, 2007 Dipankar Maibam Leave a comment

I cannot start my office work without sipping a cup of coffee and few biscuits/cookies. Though the taste of the cup of coffee remains almost same throughout the year, the different options I have in cookies, spice up my morning sip. I don’t know how, but for the a year or so I was almost addicted to Good Day (the variant does not matter). Then a lady colleague introduced me to Bourbon Treat and for the past few months I have been having it almost daily. The taste of chocolate in it is just yummy. Then one day I saw another colleague having Little Hearts and let me have a piece. After that day I have started liking that cookie too.

Everyday once the office boy comes and asks me for which biscuit will I be having today, I need to at least a minute to tell him on what to bring. Sometimes, I just say bring anything but that guy knows I am infatuated with only these three brands and will bring any of these three. I don’t know whether he doesn’t get bored of the indecision or not.
