Who won Indian Idol?

Indian Idol a talent hunt show was won by Prashant Tamang from Darjeeling. In the second spot was Amit Paul from Shillong. Though, I am happy for both of them I loath the way Sony Entertainment handled the situation in the final stages of the show. In earlier rounds when someone is to be out of the show, he/she was given the microphone to speak a few words or were requested to sing a song.

But on the final day, after the coveted prize went to Prashant, Amit wasn’t given a chance to speak up. May be the hosts forgot his presence or the stage director didn’t had anything in the script so that the hosts could give him the microphone.

Sony Entertainment, next time please handle those coming in the second more carefully for they too must be given a chance to speak.
