Applying an excerpt from “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost
“The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”
This poem has dual meaning
Everyone knows the normal meaning but I am here to write the hidden meaning which I derive from the excerpt.
Hiddent meaning: Life is lovely, yet unknown and don’t know what future holds for an individual. But he knows that he has to fulfill many expectations. There are hopes and aspirations he wants to fulfill before he dies.Note: It is a personal view and one might not agree so drop in views.
Appendix:
Woods = Life, Dark = Unknown, Deep = Future, Promises = Expectations, Miles = Time, Sleep = Death
